A Brief History... to begin; two of my favourite words are serendipity and spontaneity. Deciding to go on this adventure would fall under the latter, whilst I am certain the adventure will be full of the former. As team captain I have taken an oath to deliver my team not from temptation, but from Cochin to Shillong safely, with minimal body parts lost, whilst following the mantra ' the teams that come last always have the most fun'. I look forward to updating this page as our adventure progresses. Finally, to end, I wish to thank those who have supported us. I can assure you, your donations and/or messages of bon chance have not gone unnoticed, and are indeed most heartwarming and heartfelt; not only for us but for those who will benefit from your most selfless charity.

Alice Doherty
A Brief History.... Having lived all over the world it is no wonder that after being in England for 5 years I was starting to suffer from extreme wanderlust. After graduating from the University of Birmingham - REPRESENT- I have taken a year to try and gather my thoughts and consider my career options; slash was very disorganised and didn't apply for any jobs so have taken the opportunity to travel and visit India. The Rickshaw Run was found through a friend of Thomas' and after a lot of deliberating and avoiding paying the entry costs we decided to just, in the words of Nike DO IT.
Thomas Doherty
A Brief History... Well I am 6 foot, UK size 10 shoes and not so great with my spelling. The end.
ALL of US
We are super duper excited about heading out to India and (hopefully) completing the Rickshaw Run. As a group we all get along well, Alice is the acting mother, Eddie the dreamer who occassionally needs to be reined in by Thomas who is levelheaded, but both calm in a crisis.
Deciding to take part in this adventure was a bit of a gamble and we all agreed that if we did not do it now when would an opportunity like this come along again?!
Hence, off we go.
